A simple comedian is forced to confront the game of life and death.

“Unmoved Chess Pieces” is a true story involving Ed
Driscoll, an Emmy Award-winning comedian, television writer, and author (Spilled Gravy,
Hazelden Publishers, 2006.) Originally from Pittsburgh, Driscoll is now living and
working in Hollywood. Though viewed from the outside Ed appears to be living the
American dream, inside he feels a certain emptiness about his purpose in life, and
wonders if he’s really doing anything truly worthwhile to make this world a better place.
He feels conflicted between his desire to live a simple, “down-home” values type of
existence, and having a high-powered show business career.
